I specialize in unpacking symptoms related to Anxiety and Depression as a result of past traumas. Healing in these areas can lead to growth in relationships and career, as well as moving away from unhealthy coping mechanisms and addictions. I also have an additional interest in neurodivergence and its impact on mental health.
My approach to therapy is centered around building a safe and trusting relationship. Once this foundation is established, I incorporate evidence-based methods that work to challenge and address your current thoughts, while also acknowledging and accepting them, in order to begin the healing process and transform them. This can set the tone for an improved outlook on life and help you regain trust in yourself.
Please feel free to give me a call or email me to book a 15-minute consultation. Going on a healing journey is not easy, but there comes a time when enough is enough and you feel like you are at the end of your rope. You don’t have to carry this burden alone. I’m available to help you unpack the experiences and patterns that are holding you back, navigate the challenges you’re facing, and start the process of a new way forward.

It takes a village to raise a child, and I feel privileged when families invite me into theirs. It’s a responsibility I take seriously, with gratitude and care.
I am passionate about providing services to children, youth, and families. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where children can be their authentic selves, explore their emotions at their own pace, and feel truly heard and understood.
Play is a child’s natural language. Through play, creativity, art, puppets, and other child-centred approaches, I help children communicate what can sometimes be difficult to put into words, build emotional awareness, develop coping strategies, and make sense of their experiences.
Caregivers play an incredibly important role in a child’s emotional well-being and development as well. I work collaboratively with parents and caregivers through a supportive and empowering approach, helping them better understand their child’s needs, strengthen their relationship, and feel more confident supporting their child.
While play-based therapy is a central part of my practice, I also draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Art-Based Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, particularly when working with adolescents and teens. I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I thoughtfully tailor my approach to the strengths, needs, personality, and goals of each child, youth, and family, creating a therapeutic experience that feels meaningful and authentic to them.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that children do not need to change who they are to be worthy of understanding and support. They need to feel safe enough to be themselves, connected enough to feel supported, and empowered enough to discover their own strengths. It is a privilege to walk alongside children and families as they navigate challenges, build connection, and discover new possibilities together.
Remember, it’s never too late. Let’s work together to support your family.

Hi! My name is Diane and I am a Registered Psychotherapist providing therapy for teens and adults. As a trauma-informed therapist, I provide a compassionate, supportive, and judgement-free space for you to explore more about yourself and the areas that have shaped your lived experiences.
Beginning therapy is hard work as it requires from you a deep commitment to dive into areas that for some have been pushed away. Therapy is about learning more about ourselves by developing awareness, understanding, and compassion for the experiences that have left us feeling “stuck” and struggling to move forward. My role in this process is creating a space where you will feel safe and supported to reflect on your experiences and to help you to learn more about the thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviors that may have evolved over time and to understand their roles in creating and maintaining the concerns that led you to begin therapy.
Using an integrative approach, I draw on different therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, Unified Protocol, and EMDR, to help people remember their experiences, identify the narratives about these experiences, and develop an understanding about how these narratives impact your overall mental and emotional wellbeing. Sometimes this process involves assessing our thoughts about experiences and learning new ways to think in order to help change the way we feel.
Engaging in this process, as I mentioned before, is hard work and can feel uncomfortable at times. My role is to offer guidance and support as you sit with the discomfort safely and to support you in learning new ways to manage various emotions and behaviors.
As a therapist with over 9 years of experience, I have supported many individuals of various ages in making changes. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you for a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine a therapeutic fit.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me (or maybe not) hiking multiday backpacking trek’s in some of Canada’s most beautiful secluded places, or bike riding on some trails, or growing food in my garden.

Healing from trauma is a deeply personal journey, and taking the first step toward therapy takes courage. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, respected, and empowered as you navigate this process.
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies. Together, we will work to process trauma, identify limiting beliefs, recognize unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies to foster resilience and meaningful change.
While my primary focus is trauma, I also support individuals managing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and significant life stressors. In addition, I have a deep commitment to working with first responders who face the unique challenges of high-stress environments and repeated exposure to trauma. I understand the impact of this work and strive to provide a space where first responders can process their experiences, build resilience, and strengthen their well-being.
As a racialized woman, I recognize how culture and identity shape mental health experiences. I believe therapy should honor your unique background, values, and challenges, and I strive to create an inclusive space where these experiences are acknowledged and valued.
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in the healing process. If you feel that my experience and approach may be a good fit, I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect and see how I can support you.
